Tuesday Randoms

Hi friends! This triple digit weather has kept us super busy, if we aren't on the go we are out in the yard soaking in the pool! I haven't had my camera on me much these past few days, but I have been loading pix here and there on instagram! I am addicted! It is the simplest way to stay connected and I love it! I feel it is so much nicer then logging onto FB these days and seeing a bunch of junk posted every where, it's all about the pictures!  Plus, you don't waste any time, it's SO FAST paced!
Do you Instagram? Look me up, "Valerie8clary".

What have we been up to? Last Saturday we wanted to get out and have some quiet time together, so we headed up to our favorite little town Fallbrook! I just love this town, it brings back so many memories and is so close even though you feel like you are hours away from the city. We also got married in this town :) We started off with a few little home boutiques and a barn sale on our way in to the main square, then we made our way to our favorite antique store! I scored the greatest deal on a spiral topiary, you know I love me some topiaries! I have had my eye on this exact one online and in the fancy catalogs ever since we moved in, but I would NEVER pay what they go for which is typically $150 or more for this size and quality.

I am all about a bargain, and I was very, patient and finally found exactly what I wanted for an amazing deal! I still have to paint the urn a new color but haven't decided on what yet.

We ventured deeper into the town and found some cute little stores on the edge of a creek. Days like these are truly my most favorite, I love the little moments that make for the best memories!

Let's see what else? On the Emma front, she has been doing amazing in school! She loves going to see all her friends and teachers, she looks forward to the days she goes and is learning so much! I am so amazed at watching the little changes in her and how she catches onto things there, it is precious to pick her up and learn new things through her eyes!

Last week before she started school we did some of her favorite things, one of them being baking! No one LOVES cake more then this little girl! We got up early one morning and baked chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast and later that day made cupcakes too! She was so thrilled! As we got dressed for the day she was playing in her drawers and demanded to wear a tutu, I definitely wasn't going to stop her!

I just eat her up! These are the moments I will never forget, even if there was a huge mess to clean up, I will have these memories when she is all grown up and too cool to hang out with "Auntie".

This past weekend we enjoyed getting a lot done in the yard, another favorite activity we love to do as a couple! We have been doing so much that we haven't had a chance to do the maintaining part of the flower beds, so we did just that~ and lots of it!

Sunday Christine, Kevin and Emma came over for a bit to swim. I made some fruity drinks and we splashed around in the pool. I caught some cute pictures of Emma as she got in and out and was playing with Uncle Loui :)

We are busy bees as we near the end of summer, and August is going to fly by! We are preparing for the arrival of sweet Hudson, my sister is having a BOY! It's crazy still to say that :) I am getting ready for her "Sprinkle" shower to celebrate with her. I am so excited for the family time, and out of town family including our sister Melissa and Martina is coming out with her family from Arizona! :) Lots of fun pictures to come : )

Love, Valerie

First Day of School

The weekend was beautiful, we truly had a great weekend! I had a post planned about our weekend but will save that for later, today was a special day. Emma Rose started Pre- School! That's right, this sweet little girl reached a huge milestone in her life, one of her first, it's a day I will never forget! She is attending a Preschool program three times a week for about 4 and a half hours. I am so excited to watch her grow and learn new things and kids! I am honest, I was an emotional basket case all morning watiting to see how she did!

With the new schedule of me not having to be there with Emma when she wakes up, I was lost and didn't know what to do with myself...so I slept in :) I worried and wondered about her every second of the day, she was only there until 12:15, but I knew it would be such a huge change for her. I made my way around town and ran some errands, I may have spent too much time in Target drooling over all of the baby things! By the way, check your local Target shoe section, rediculous deals!  ; )

When it was time, I met up with Kevin, my brother in law and Christine to wait for Emma to come out of class. I toured a little of the school and meet each of the teachers, the school is perfect and the teachers are precious! I felt so much more at ease after being there and seeing her new environment, not to mention Christine's office is literally across the street! I couldn't dream up of a more perfect little begining for her, they do an amazing job at keeping the place so clean and fun for the kids. I would enroll my own baby here if the day ever came. Props to my sister and her husband for taking this step towards Emma's future and finding the absolute most perfect place!

Here she is with her momma and the cute sign I made for their morning pictures.

Emma this is just the beginning of a new chapter in your life in 2012, I am so blessed and grateful to be able to experience it with you! I love you to the moon!

Moving On!

Hi friends and family! What do you think of the new blog location/style? I am loving it! I decided to start a fresh, new blog all together once I logged on to blogger for the first time in months and saw they posted a note stating I had exceeded my picture storage! Whatever that means! I have been M.I.A. for far too long! This is going to give me something to do again and have some accountability! I need to get structured! I also wanted to update my life journal, It makes me sad to see that I have no pictures or journals to record all of the fun things we have done this summer! I want to always have these posts to be able to look back on and see the constant growth and changes happening around me :)

Also, I am working on getting my "story" together so eventually I will be able to hopefully reach someone who is going through either the same or something similar to what I experienced this past 6 months and getting through and over the miscarriage. There is nothing else I wanted/NEEDED in this world to survive more then a fellow mother/friend who had gone through what I had just experienced, I had no one. Since my miscarriage was fairly unique in the way that we did not have a D&C like most people assume, I ached to find someone to tell me they too had been and seen what I had. (Just recently my dentist of all people opened up to me and had shared her almost exact same story with me about her experience, It was the biggest piece of the puzzle to my healing process.) It has been a very, dark and gloomy, and lonely road I have been traveling and though I still have lots to work on I am happy to report I am finally at a place of peace and enjoying life to it's fullest again! I have learned so much about the meanings and importance of relationships in your life and the meaning of family and about myself.

There is so much to be thankful for around me and for what I do have, I want to remember all of the good and let go of the bad! The Lord is with me and I have all my faith in him that when the time is right, we will be where we need to be! I know he has a plan and I pray for peace and the patience to experience it as it unfolds!

We have lots going on around here and I am excited to announce my sister is having her second baby, a baby boy! Emma Rose is going to pre-school in just a few short days and I am trying to brace myself for that transition. I have been home with her full time since she was 3 months old! Boy does time FLY!!!! I know it's a wonderful thing for her, but I will be so sad and I'm sure a big weeping mess when that day comes!

I am so excited to get this going again and share all of the fun things going on! With July almost being over, we have Emma starting Pre-School, some fun family events, I am turning 25 and lots of fun weekends with friends! Thank you for all of the sweet notes, comments, and e-mails regarding my healing process it means the world to me!!!

Lots of love and double kisses!

~Valerie
